Artist's Description

This little lady came walking up to my house. There aren't any ponds or lakes close by. She looked very tired and was very thirsty. I got out a large bowl, that she could fit in, and filled it with water. She played in the water for a long time, cleaned herself and then took a nap. She was taken over to Gibson ranch, to the duck pond there where I hope she will be happy.

Mallards are symbolic of emotions, they are associated with the water element. They represent being able to handle our emotions with grace and strength. They teach us to trust our instincts about others.
In Feng Shui, Mallards are symbolic for relationships and commitment.
