The great blue heron is a large wading bird in the heron family Ardeidae.
This beautiful Heron is located at the Coyote Point Recreation area in the small zoo they have. California has some beautiful state parks and this is one to visit! It's in the bay area close by San Francisco!

About Christina Ochsner
Christina Ochsner was born in Houston, TX where she studied photography at G.W. Carver high under Dave Renner. She worked on B&W photography, developed her own film and photos. Christina now lives in Sacramento, CA where she continues the art of photography. Now she does both color and B&W. As much as she misses the darkroom, she is learning the digital world of photography. She hopes to one day have a darkroom of her own where she can still enjoy the old with the new.
